southern boy

So my little spanish boy LOVES his squash! :) Maybe he is more southern than he is spanish. :) hahaha. Yup, we have definitely made a wonderful turn in the world of solid foods. He has taken to them - he likes them now! And, acutally enjoys the eating process. Today for lunch he ate squash, rice cereal and a bottle. WOW! He is a big eater! It was so cute because every time I would take the spoon out of his mouth to get more squash from the bowl, he would get sad, because he wanted more - he thought I was taking it away from him! And, he would also try to feed himself by grabbing the spoon out of my hand - I think he is just excited about it! But, he also likes to hold his bottle by himself, too. I think he just thinks he is getting to be a "big guy". ;) But, this solid food "experience" is night and day from even just a week ago. I am so thankful that we didn't push him too much last month when he was upset with it, but instead waited a little while because it makes it such an enjoyable experience now! Next week we are going to add sweet potato! I have a feeling he is going to like that, too!
