Labor day...
Last night, for the first time, I watched video taken from the day I went into the hospital to have Elijah. I didn't realize we had as much video as we did. We had taped all the pushing, too (from a "decent" angle). It was so funny to watch because I was soooo talkative during the pushing time - talking to the nurse, the doctor, asking questions, etc...and in incredibly good spirits (thanks to the epidural!). You can also see the point at which the epidural began to wear off and I started "feeling" more of it. A little after that point in time, I tell Steve to turn off the video camera. Hahaha. But, right after that is when they see that I have to have a c-section anyways, so there really wouldn't have been any more to tape anyways. It is just interesting to look back at that day/night and kind of "re-live" it. I NEVER thought I would want to have video of that experience, but it was good to watch last night because there is so much you forget or didn't realize at the time. Not that we are going to make any kind of movie out of it or invite people over to see it (Steve wouldn't even watch it with me last night! He said he doesn't want to re-live it cause it was such a long, drawn out, anticipated event and he is glad it is over!). What an experience!

haha wow you are brave to have taken a video! I guess that means that Steve didn't pass out either since he was videotaping:) how long were u in labor for?...but I think I would be curious too to see how I would have acted......yikes! I also heard that c-sections are so common now because the doctors dont want to take risks anymore! Thats so interesting to hear! :)
yeah, steve didn't pass out! he actually did really well - he helped me a lot. and for video-ing, he just set it down and let it self-record. :)
that is so fun that you have that!
way to go steve! he gives all the men hope! self-recording-good idea!...where do you guys live now? house, apartment?
we live in a condo - we were in an apartment up until this past summer. it's been fun having a place to decorate how you want!
